Welcome back to the summer term!
We hope you've had a lovely Easter break and are refreshed and ready for school.
This term the A level students will be completing their exam on the 25th and 26th of April.
All coursework for GCSE and A level students should be handed in on the 1st May.
Y9 GCSE will complete their second project and start a mock art exam (good luck)
Year 12 students will be going to London for insipration for their unit 3 project.
Key stage three students will be completing their personal projects and beginning a 2d relief project and some will be going to visit local people with our community arts project.
Lots of excting and creative things going on this term.

Photoshop Final Outcomes Key stage 3
Looking at the printmaking artist James Green, key stage 3 students have use hand rendered and computer rendered images to produce these final images.

Assemblage final outcomes
Key stage 3 have made some wonderful assemblage boxes based on identity. They have been put up around the art rooms but we've added some to our blog so that you can see them in detail

Printmaking key stage 3
Looking at our artists and seasons in key stage 3, some beautiful prints have been produced using Lino, polystyrene and block printing inks.

We've been busy with our shoes out in Key Stage 3 and some fantastic line and shade drawings using pencil, charcoal, biro and fine liner.

To help you improve you can drawings we've added these images of different levels. Remember for the higher levels you will need to:-
- Cross hatch
- Have 5 levels of shade
- Use a rubber to add highlights
- Add surface shadow
- Add detail

KS3 project for September - October 2012
Calling
all year 7 and 8 students!
This half
term we will be developing skills using pencil looking at shoes. This will mean
you need to bring in or photograph shoes you would like to draw.
You can
of course use shoes you have on your feet...
